OUTREACH

Welcome to our series of Educational Modules that will teach you just how fascinating the world of coastlines is!
* MODULES ARE STILL IN DEVELOPMENT *
NOTE: For the best experience, we recommend accessing the educational modules through a computer. While information will be available in all devices, please be aware that images and headlines may shift. Thank you for understanding. Enjoy!

Discover the importance of these ecosystems through three (3) modules designed for students and the general public.
Each module offers a unique experience, from visual simulations to interactive demonstrations. Click on the Buttons to enter the world of coasts and understand their fundamental role in our environment, and in Puerto Rico.

Get ready to explore and learn with the secrets of the coasts!

MODULE 1
CONSEQUENCES OF COASTAL CONSTRUCTIONS

Explore the impacts of construction in coastal areas, from the behavior of the waves that reach the shore, to the erosion present during times of storms.
Here the relationship between structures and coastal dynamics in storm conditions and under normal conditions will be visualized.

MODULE 2
TYPE OF WAVES AND COASTAL MORPHOLOGY

Learn about different types of waves and coastal morphology. From the parts of a wave and identifying different types of waves, to coastal areas and what they entail, this module will take you on a journey through the forces that shape our shorelines.
