Priscila Vargas

Priscila got her Master's in 2021. She studied the fate and transport of pathogens in beach water using numerical and field experiments. She now works with the USGS.

Argelys Monserrate

For her Master's Argelys worked on the feasibility of using recycled glass as beach nourishment material. She graduated in 2018 and is now working at CMA.

Alexandra Padilla

Alexandra was the first student at the lab. As an undergrad, she worked with ADCP data to extract sediment concentrations. She is now a PhD candidate at UNH, an NSF GRFP fellow, and a good friend.

Brandon Santaliz

As an undergrad Brandon helped graduate students in the lab with dye injection, setup, design and construction. 

Jesiniel Nieves

Jesiniel worked at the lab during his undergrad. He developed the first version of radar-based beach water quality nowcasts. 

Nerida de Jesús

As an undergraduate Nerida evaluated the combined effect of acidity and turbulence on eolianites. She then got a Master's with Rubén Díaz and is now working at FEMA.

Peter Rivera

As an undergrad Peter helped with CARICOOS beach water quality products. He then got a Master's with Patricia Chardón and is now working at the USACE. 

Ihan Acevedo

Ihan worked on beach water quality nowcasts using data from weather radar. He is now a graduate student in Civil Engineering at UPRM.
